Housing & Property Management Level 2

This 14 month 2-in-1 programme is ideal for those starting their housing careers. It includes the CIH Level 2 Housing qualification within the learner journey. Students will spend time each week, on a pre-arranged day, learning, studying and reflecting on, among other subjects:

In Summary

The housing and property management assistant is an entry-level, customer-facing role supporting tenancies and leaseholds in social and private housing.

Working in a team and with external partners, assistants handle tasks like service charge paperwork, surveys, data management, viewings, and meeting coordination.

They help solve problems, improve processes, and ensure quality work. This apprenticeship prepares individuals for careers in housing and property management.

After this apprenticeship you will be able to:

  • Apply a range of customer service and administrative skills to support housing services      
  • Use appropriate judgment to meet the needs of vulnerable individuals    



  • Collect and present data clearly using various methods
  • Work with colleagues and partners to meet goals and solve problems
  • Organise and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines


  • Use IT systems and housing-related equipment effectively
  • Make sound decisions to complete tasks accurately and on time

Housing & Property Management Level 3

This 18 month 2 in 1 programme is ideal for those working in Housing, paid or voluntarily. It includes the CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing Practice within the curriculum. Students will spend time each week within working hours studying and reflect on what you learned.

Summary

Housing and property managers support successful tenancies in private and social housing, following legal and professional standards. They handle both people and property issues, often working independently and with others. They solve problems, improve processes, and ensure quality. At Level 3, some may supervise. The apprenticeship prepares them for a range of roles in the sector.

After this apprenticeship you will be able to:

  • Use strong customer service skills to deliver a professional, ethical, and inclusive service.
  • Communicate clearly to identify and solve issues or refer customers to the right support.
  • Work well with colleagues and partners to meet goals.
  • Understand and respond to the needs of vulnerable people, including those with complex needs.

  • Influence and negotiate with customers, partners, and suppliers.
  • Manage time and tasks to meet deadlines.
